2026-2027 Education Committee

Specific Charge

The Education Committee will continue to focus on the expanded ecosystem of architectural education by mapping and staging discussions about educational outcomes for post-professional and other related advanced degrees, specializations, and certificate programs, including examination of current and potential future offerings by our member schools. The committee might explore bridges between these programs and NAAB-accredited programs, as well as the four-year degree programs examined in 2025-26. The committee will further ÌÇÐÄvlog’s past research on degree clarification, in support of the ÌÇÐÄvlog Board’s advocacy for our members’ priorities and needs within the Architectural Alliance (AIA, AIAS, NCARB, NAAB, and NOMA) and beyond.

Topics for webinars and conference sessions may include, but not be limited to: educational missions beyond training for practice or competency for licensure; continuing education providers; engaging students in advanced research opportunities; and preparing future leaders, including future faculty.
